As one of the most important cities in all of Peru, it is no wonder that Cusco is home to some of the most delicious places to eat in all of the country. With an array of dining options serving both local Andean cuisines, as well as an array of international meals, visitors certainly will not go home hungry.  The area around Plaza de Armas has a number of restaurants that cater to tourists. It is also home to Paititi, which serves up delicious fish and alpaca.

The area of San Blas also offers a number of great cafes and restaurants. Here the restaurants and bars are more modern and bohemian. Macondo Bar and Restaurant is an absolute must. This restaurant serves not only delicious meals, but has scrumptious desserts, and doubles as an art gallery. If you’re in the mood for more international cuisine make sure to stop by Tika Bistro Gourmet and enjoy a rich combination of Thai, Vietmese and Peruvian flavors. Maikhana Namaskar Indian Restaurant also serves up a delicious meal at a reasonable price if you are looking for something slightly more out of the box.

Cusco Hostels is the best

After all your adventures, make sure to wake up early and head to Trotamundos Café. This great little place is the perfect spot to enjoy a big cup of hot chocolate or coffee in the cool Andean mornings. The café also offers a stunning view of Cusco’s main square and a great wooden balcony.
